- Overall the movie skipped some on the key important parts that the book had mentioned.
- Sometimes, the events did not happen in the exact same order.
- Some of the characters weren't described in the same detail.
- The ending was confusing because Griet looked the same and you couldn't tell that she was older.
- Tanneke didn't seems as mean as she was in the book.

- Overall, I think the movie was okay, it could have been better if only it inquired the main points and theme of the story.
